   After gaining experience cooking in Japan, Owner Hirose Tadaaki moved to the United States to be trained at a popular Ramen restaurant in San Francisco. There, he learned how to open a shop as a store manager and become a more independent chef and owner. Tadaaki then moved to Hawai’i and opened Wagaya, to challenge himself in the melting pot of Asian cultures and create Ramen that everyone can enjoy and love.

In 2015, we opened a family-owned business and named it Wagaya. Wagaya means, ‘Our Home” and the Wagaya ‘Ohana wants our restaurant to be as comfortable as your home. We specialize in many different soups; using only high quality, hand-selected ingredients to make our umami-rich broths. We simmer Kurobuta and Organic Whole Chicken for about 20 hours for the best quality and flavor -- we also have vegan and vegetarian options! A simple place to feed your soul, enjoy your time with family, friends, good food, and drinks. We currently offer online ordering, online check-in, and dining in.
