As a family business focused on treating local ohana to a memorable dining experience, Royal Palace Chinese Restaurant continues to make positive impressions on guests in its inviting atmosphere that is perfect for small groups, large parties and special occasions.
Conveniently situated in Stadium Mall adjacent to Ice Palace and across the street from Aloha Stadium, Royal Palace Chinese Restaurant pleases both loyal returning and first-time customers by serving up Hong Kong-style Chinese cuisine that the entire family will enjoy. While the eatery easily is recognized by area residents and frequent visitors to the shopping center, owner and chef Jin He Wu — who brings more than two decades of experience to the kitchen — continues to add new menu items and popular specials after taking over operations nearly four years ago.
The restaurant features close to 200 items from appetizers to entrees including classic dishes like Roast Duck ($14.50 half, $28 whole), which is served with perfectly crisp skin and moist, flavorful meat.
Customers also rave about Scallop & Asparagus with XO Sauce ($13.95), which is a special offering containing hearty portions of tender scallops and asparagus prepared in a special secret house sauce. Kalbi Short Ribs with Black Pepper Sauce ($13.95) is another special entree that can be enjoyed a la carte as the tender short ribs are prepared along with vegetables in a savory sauce.
In addition to the tasty a la carte entrees available at Royal Palace, customers will be pleased to hear that the restaurant’s all-you-can-eat buffet remains a fixture of the eatery.
The buffet features more than 50 items, including the ever-popular salt-and-pepper shrimp, orange chicken, beef broccoli, peel-and-eat shrimp, fruits, vegetables, ice cream and more. Diners can enjoy all these items and more for lunch ($13.95, available 10:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.) and dinner ($15.95, available 4-8:30 p.m.). Discounted prices are available for children and seniors — guests 2 years old and younger eat for free, diners ages 3-5 receive 50 percent off, and seniors receive 10 percent off.
Royal Palace Chinese Restaurant is offering a Birthday Celebration special — a diner celebrating a birthday eats for free when joined by a party of four or more paying guests after showing valid I.D. Check with team members for details, not combinable with other offers or discounts.
For patrons on the go or stopping in for a quick bite, Royal Palace Chinese Restaurant offers a popular take-out option that includes items from the buffet. Any two items may be selected for $7.95, while any three can be combined for $9.75. All take-out specials come with steamed rice, fried rice, chow fun or noodles.
