Flour & Barley’s concept is simple: The International Market Place eatery specializes in pizza and beer — but not just any pizza and beer, mind you.

The restaurant, which opened last December, goes above and beyond to offer the universally beloved food-and-drink combo in exceptional ways. Add other Italian comfort foods to the menu, and you’ve got the complete, delicious package at this quickly rising Waikiki hot spot.

Each pizza — the menu includes 15 standouts, with favorites such as Margherita, Farm House and Genovese — is hand-crafted with fresh ingredients and baked in a 550-degree brick fire oven, which can be seen from the dining room through a window on the oven door. “We have a pizza for everybody,” chef de cuisine Royce Arakaki says, adding that the restaurant will be offering gluten-free pizza options in the near future.

Select from Flour & Barley’s long list of bottled local beers, as well as an elite selection of beers on tap. Enjoy these libations with your meal at any time of the day, including daily happy hour, which runs from 2 to 6 p.m.

And don’t limit yourself to just pizza, as the eatery also offers top-notch Italian sandwiches, antipasti, calamari and chicken wing appetizers, and so much more.
