Summer may be coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean the party has to stop. Located within the lower level of Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa, Seafood Village Chinese Cuisine takes great pride in its Lunch Party Menu.

This week for Dining Out, manager Yao Ming Guan shows off three items from one of Seafood Village’s lunch party options: Salt and Pepper Calamari (regularly $19.95), Stir-fried String Beans (not on the regular menu) and Minute Chicken Fried Noodle (also not on the regular menu).

The Lunch Party Menu option comes with four other dishes and is priced at $11.95 per person for a minimum of 10 people. Also included in this family-style feast are Chicken Salad with Oriental Dressing, four types of mouthwatering Dim Sum — Barbecue Pork Bun, Chive Dumpling, Siu Mai and Seafood Dumpling —Sweet and Sour Pork and Mango Pudding for dessert.

The Salt and Pepper Calamari is served crispy with, of course, salt and pepper, and it’s topped with red peppers and green onions. The crunch after the first bite is more than satisfying, and overall, the calamari is fried perfectly.

Stir-fried String Beans shines as a simple yet delicious starter. Last but not least, Minute Chicken Fried Noodle presents pan-fried chicken over a bed of crispy noodles and choy sum.

The eatery may be located in Waikiki, but Seafood Village also caters to locals by offering Hawaii residents with valid IDs a 20-percent discount on any regular menu item at lunch, and a 15 percent discount at dinner.

Guan adds that “the parking here is really affordable,” giving kamaaina another reason to try out this spot. Self-parking at the Hyatt is only $3 and valet is $4, with validation.

With large selections comes even bigger parties, so come one, come all. The eatery boasts two party rooms that fit up to 35 people, one private room that holds around 70 people, and the main dining room that seats about 110 people.
