In addition to its fun atmosphere, Pagoda Floating Restaurant is even more kid-friendly because it now has a new kids’ menu. This new menu offers children a variety of breakfast and lunch ala carte dishes, including a drink and everything that comes with the meal, all for only $6.

“We never had a kids’ menu, and we always have so many families coming in with their kids who enjoy the fish pond. We just wanted to cater to the kids more,” explains head chef Jason Takemura.

The most popular kids’ menu item so far is the waffles. This dish comes with two mini waffles, which are prepared Belgium-style and topped with whipped cream and strawberries. Customers love the kids’ waffles because they’re “good, small, well-portioned and individual waffles. Grown ups love them too!” says Takemura.

Along with the waffles, kids also love the silver dollar blueberry pancakes and the pava juice. Pava juice is similar to POG, but is made of fresh local guava, pineapple and papaya.

Pagoda Floating Restaurant already has a lot of kid customers, so this new menu will only attract more. This floating restaurant is very kid-friendly because of its surroundings.

“Our pond and opportunities to feed the koi make it easier for parents to bring their kids here to be entertained for free and enjoy themselves,” adds Takemura.

Takemura hopes this new menu will draw in more families.

“As a new dad, I know that it’s hard to take the kids out to eat. Here at Pagoda, you can bring your kids and enjoy yourselves and have a good family time,” he says.

Pagoda Floating Restaurant has also been recently voted within the top 75 for kid friendly restaurants on Open Table, a website for making reservations. Pagoda also added a new section to its famous fishpond, a pond full of local fish such as moi and kalani. Float on in to Pagoda Restaurant, and make sure to bring your kids!
