Let your hair down and throw your pinkies up at Shokudo Japanese Restaurant & Bar, which sets a dining scene that’s equally sassy and classy — and that’s sass in a fun way.

The casual and modern Japanese eatery melds tradition and 21st century inspiration, filling both hearts and tummies since its founding in 2005. And, after 15 years, there is no slowing down in sight for Shokudo, as it continues to churn out innovative creations coupled with top-notch service.

Favorites on the menu include a sushi pizza, Sukiyaki Bibimbap, Hamachi Carpaccio, Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, and Lobster Dynamite Roll. Of course, there’s no forgetting its signature Honey Toast, which taste buds can’t nearly seem to get enough of, as the decadent stack combines warm comfort with cool refreshment.

Shokudo also likes to celebrate the seasons, and that means Valentine’s Day this Friday, Feb. 14. General manager Ryan Ko mentions a tempting deal for diners this weekend that’s sure to appeal to many happy hearts. When guests make a reservation at Shokudo Feb. 13-16 they will be entered into a pool for a chance to win a two-day hotel staycation.

So expect great food and special giveaways during this season of love and throughout the year at Shokudo Japanese Restaurant & Bar.

DRESSED TO IMPRESS

In addition to drizzles of sweet honey, the dessert is dressed with a strawberry puree and the ice cream is covered in a chocolate shell, which goes well with the chocolate dipped strawberries.

WALLS OF GLORY

Within the hollowed-out stack sits warm toasted bread cubes glazed with honey and two scoops of cool vanilla ice cream.

BE MY VALENTINE

Specially made for the Holiday of Love, this treat will be available Feb. 13-16.
