The season of giving thanks brings together family and friends for a variety of festive celebrations featuring food, football and merriment, and Thanksgiving is welcomed for its warm and cozy fall vibe as visions of moist turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and pumpkin pie take the spotlight.

However, preparing for the holiday also tends to cause anxiety as hosts realize the time and stress involved with preparing and coordinating the grand spread. A Catered Experience has become the go-to holiday feast facilitator for kamaaina in advance of the quickly approaching Thanksgiving holiday, and the hard-working team is here to help by offering its Oven Roasted Hot Turkey Package for just $132.95 ($139.21 with tax, feeds approximately eight people) that takes the stress and mess out of preparing a robust Thanksgiving feast.

Maki Sushi Roll ($5.95 add-on to Package)

The package includes: a whole 10to 12-pound (cooked weight) tender, moist and fully roasted turkey served hot and ready to eat; 4 pounds of poultry gravy; 4 pounds of real mashed potatoes; 3 pounds of stuffing; 1 pound of cranberry relish; a dozen King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls; and a Napoleon’s Bakery Pumpkin Pie. To aid in the preparation process, simple reheating instructions are provided.

Steamed Vegetables, 2 pounds ($9.95 add-on)

Diners may also add on another whole turkey to the package for $73 more, plus tax (limit one additional turkey per package). Those who order five packages or more will receive a gift certificate from A Catered Experience equal to 10 percent of the total purchase (excluding tax); the certificate is valid through March 31, 2020.

“We provide customers with convenience, and picking up the Turkey Package is simple: you drive up to the parking lot, hand the employees your receipt and you don’t even have to get out of your car,” says Ron Hattori, general manager at A Catered Experience. “We’ll load up the car, and you drive off. We save customers time, and save them the trouble of going to the store and buying all the ingredients, and putting everything together from scratch.”

A limited supply of the packages is available on a preorder basis, and Hattori encourages customers to submit their requests as soon as possible to ensure the order can be filled. A Catered Experience accepts checks and credit card payments, while cash payments must be made in person at the Waipio office.

Potato/Macaroni Salad, 2 pounds ($8.50 add-on)

To make the process as seamless as possible, customers may order their turkey packages online at acateredexperience.com/turkeypackage. Orders can also be mailed to the Waipio office or faxed to 678-2025 (cash or check payments are not accepted for fax orders). As a reminder, mail-in orders must be received by Nov. 8, and online orders must be received by Nov. 21. Cancellations will not be honored after Nov. 21, 2019, and the offer is valid while supplies last.

Oven Roasted Turkey Packages are available for pick up Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Hawaii Okinawa Center parking lot at 94-587 Ukee St. in Waipio.

Diners also may tack on additional fixings to the Oven Roasted Hot Turkey Package on an a la carte basis. Options include Maki Sushi Roll ($5.95, uncut); King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls ($5.95 per dozen); Mashed Potatoes ($9.65 for 2 pounds); Napoleon’s Bakery Pumpkin, Custard or Apple Pie ($10.50 each); Poultry Gravy ($5.50 for 2 pounds); Stuffing ($10.50 for 3 pounds); Pineapple/Cranberry Relish ($4.25 for half-pound); Steamed Vegetables ($9.95 for 2 pounds); and Potato/Macaroni salad ($8.50 for 2 pounds).
