Two Island Eggs “Any Style” ($24)

Patrons of La Vie are living large on the delicious breakfast selections available at the restaurant. La Vie, which means “the life” in French, welcomes local residents and visitors to the eighth floor of the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach. Among its perks, the restaurant offers complimentary validated valet parking.

Handling the reins at the new French-inspired establishment that opened Aug. 1 is the talented trio of general manager Dusty Grable, executive chef Shaymus Alwin and chef de cuisine Patrick Collins.

Farmer’s Omelet ($21)

Among the indulgent breakfast choices offered at La Vie are the Banana Foster’s Waffles ($15). It features the flavor of caramelized local apple-banana and chantilly creme toppings.

Another sweet-treat is the Buttermilk Pancakes & Lilikoi ($17). These are additionally doused with some delightful strawberry balsamic and maple syrup.

Hawaiian Style Benedict ($21)

Those whose cravings veer more toward the savory side of breakfast will also be rewarded at La Vie. For example, the restaurant features its Hawaiian Style Benedict ($21). Among the ingredients making this dish extra special are the pipikaula, arugula and chili-water hollandaise.

Meanwhile, the Farmer’s Omelet ($21) provides a feast fit for a ranch hand. This omelet arrives at the table packed with alii mushrooms, spinach and truffle boschetto cheese with country potatoes. It comes with a choice of toast — white, wheat, sourdough, multi-grain, or gluten-free — or English muffin or pancake.

Buttermilk Pancakes & Lilikoi ($17)

Want to really get your egg on? La Vie can easily accommodate customers with its Two Eggs “Any Style” ($24).

The fresh eggs come with a choice of smoked bacon, Portuguese sausage, pork link sausage or apple-jalapeno chicken sausage with country potatoes and a choice of the restaurant’s different kinds of toast, English muffin or pancake.

For those who are looking for an additional spot to relax, the Mediterranean-inspired cocktail bar and lounge sits next to La Vie. It provides an elegant ambiance with nightly live piano music.
