If you’re looking for a slam “dunk”-in’ deal then one of Hawaii’s hottest new franchises is the place for you.

Dunkin’, formerly known as Dunkin’ Donuts, has teamed up locally with Diamond Bakery to add a personal touch of Hawaii to the national brand.

The partnership is kicking off with a new treat known as the Pineapple Macadamia Nut Crumble Donut that launched on Aug. 1 and is available for a limited time until Oct. 31.

“Dunkin’ is a national brand and we know that any time you could try to take your menu and mobilize it in any way is always a good thing, especially for people in Hawaii and having things that are exclusive to Hawaii,” shares marketing manager Casie Bui. “So we thought, what better way to do that than with a fun collaboration with a local iconic brand such as Diamond Bakery.”

Following a taste test of several variations with both Diamond Bakery and Dunkin’ parties, Bui divulges that the group unanimously and excitedly decided Diamond Bakery’s Pineapple Macadamia Nut Shortbread Cookie complemented Dunkin’s Boston Kreme Donut the best.

Take a bite out of the fun for yourself and pick up your own Pineapple Macadamia Nut Crumble Donut at any of the five Oahu Dunkin’ locations. Furthermore, when you order one, don’t forget to snap a selfie with the donut, as Diamond Bakery is putting on a social media contest to celebrate the collaboration.

All diners have to do is take a selfie with the Pineapple Macadamia Nut Crumble Donut and use the hashtag #dunkindiamondbakery and you’ll automatically win a $15 Diamond Bakery gift card. (Only one entry per Instagram account.) Finally, all entries will be entered to win a $100 Diamond Bakery gift card. So get your bite on and cameras out — this contest is only active until Aug. 15.
