Napoleon’s Bakery takes the cake when it comes to sweet treats in Hawaii by crafting an array of signature decadent desserts and creative cakes with quality and consistency in each bite.

When it comes to special events, celebrations and everyday indulgences, Napoleon’s Bakery takes the stress and mess out of ordering the right desserts for any occasion and does so with stellar customer service that local residents have come to count on for generations.

“Our cakes are made from scratch,” says Jan Tsukazaki, general manager of Napoleon’s Bakery, who initially managed the bakery division at Zippy’s Restaurants in 1983. “They may be a bit more costly than what you’ll find at the big box stores or supermarkets, but you can’t find the recipes we’ve been using for over 30 years there. Our customers recognize the quality we provide, and they know what they order is going to be really good.”

Napoleon’s Bakery offers custom-decorated cakes for various occasions, including family gatherings, birthdays, corporate functions and graduation parties, which are right around the corner.

Guests may order the custom cakes via the bakery’s website or at any Napoleon’s Bakery location with at least a threeto fiveday advance notice. As a reminder, custom-decorated cakes are available at Oahu locations only.

“Customers are particular when it comes to including specific decorations, and we can provide multiple options,” explains Tsukazaki. “If they want, for instance, a picture of a graduate alongside a baby picture, the school colors and the year, we can do all of that for them.”

SHEET CAKES

Napoleon’s Bakery offers Sheet Cakes in plain configurations that include a choice of border color and wording in quarter sheet ($26.75 and up, 24 pieces), half sheet ($46.75 and up, 48 pieces) and full sheet ($86.25 and up, 96 pieces) sizes.

MOTHER’S DAY CAKES

Diners may choose from favorites including Decorated Mother’s Day Dobash Cake ($18.25), right, and Decorated Mother’s Day Peach Bavarian Cake ($20.50). The specialty cakes will be available May 11 and 12 at all Oahu Napoleon’s Bakery locations (prices may vary by site).

DECORATED SHEET CAKES

These cakes include a standard decoration (choice of roses, lei or celebration designs), a photo (licensed or original photo) or a combination of both artistic elements (see the bakery clerk for more details, or when ordering online, make a note in the “instructions” window). The stunning-yet-delicious decorated cakes are available in quarter sheet ($44.50 and up, 24 pieces), half sheet ($70 and up, 48 pieces) and full sheet ($116.25 and up, 96 pieces) layouts. Dobash Cake is the lowest-priced cake option, and multiple cake varieties can be incorporated when customizing each order.

RAINBOW CAKE ($20.75)

Napoleon’s Bakery continues to add new cake varieties to its daily lineup of ono offerings including Rainbow Cake. This tiered treat features flavored layers of chiffon cake — guava, passion fruit and lime — with guava and passion fruit filling between the layers. The must-try cake is finished with a whipped cream topping and guava, passion fruit and lime glaze.
