“Hawaiian Style” Angus Loco Moco

“Egg”-cellent beef
Local eggs made to customers’ liking sit atop a 100-percent Angus beef, homemade patty that contains no fillers.

Got rice?
Customers can choose to enjoy the patty with either a bed of steaming hot white or brown rice, mashed potatoes or mashed cauliflower.

Fun with onions
Chef Jose Arias says the fried, savory onions add a welcomed kick of crispiness to the dish.

Crazy for gravy
Made fresh in-house, this gluten-free blanket of smooth brown gravy is sure to provide comfort and joy to taste buds.

GRYLT continues to churn out hearty selections that appeal to tummies just as much as they do to the mind, body and soul.

The restaurant’s menu offers up organic options from protein to veggies, bringing eaters of all types to indulge in dishes that are “delicious and good for you, too,” according to GRYLT’s mantra.

Corporate chef Jose Arias reminds customers that the concept behind GRYLT is to bring customers simple food with very fundamental techniques that permeate as much flavor as possible. The ingredients that go into the dishes are of the finest grade and many of them are from local vendors.

With two locations, one in Kailua and the other in Kahala Mall, this eatery will have patrons looking forward to an array of freshly grilled plates and power meals, plus sandwiches, wraps, salads and soups.

GRYLT’s soups, for example, are especially ideal during the island’s current cool “cuddle weather.”

“(Our soups) are always made from scratch, always healthy, and we can always tell you exactly every ingredient that is in them,” shares Arias. “(The products) are never from a bag. It’s all local veggies as much as possible, and we try to have vegetarian and vegan options, also.”

There is a bounty of possibilities on the menu including grilled steak, shrimp and chicken, as well as organic Angus burgers, and surf and turf plates. The chicken also contains no antibiotics and is sure to be hormone and steroid-free.

So, the next time your rumbling stomach calls out to you, check out GRYLT for a guilt-free, mouthwatering meal that will power your day and mind.
