When your Chinese food cravings kick in, turn to Kapolei Chinese Restaurant to silence your growling belly. Conveniently located across from Kapolei Shopping Center, this Chinese establishment is open for lunch and dinner.
Kapolei Chinese Restaurant is sure to satisfy, as the eating place boasts a new management team ready to serve customers local to West Oahu or visiting from other parts of the island and beyond.
Whether you are looking to dine in or take out, Kapolei Chinese Restaurant’s menu provides both traditional Cantonese plates and unique specialty items. Restaurant owner Vincent Lum explains the menu isn’t solely inspired by the flavors of Hong Kong, as the eatery also caters to the tastes of locals. Head chef Li Wei Zhang, former co-owner and chef of Lam’s Garden in Kahala Mall, is cooking up divine South Chinese Cantonese dishes, pleasing even the most discriminating of palates.
Stepping into the restaurant’s spacious dining room, you will find yourself greeted by an attentive staff.
Relax into your seat, open your menu, and get ready to experience delightful, mildly spicy Cantonese dishes. If you can’t decide what to order, Lum suggests diving into Cold Ginger Chicken ($11.95 special), a tender dish seasoned with ginger and subtle spices. Next, indulge in Roast Duck ($12.95 special), a hot, juicy plate of duck with tender skin cooked to golden perfection.
Your taste buds will be asking for more, so diverge from fowl and take to the sea. Place an order for Salt & Pepper Shrimp ($12.95 special). Spicy and salty, this dish is the perfect combination of seafood and seasonings.
Turn to String Beans with Pork ($11.95 special, beef or squid also available) to add a bite of vegetables to your feast. No meal here is complete without a serving of fresh, green, succulent string beans.
