Tonight brings the full moon, and with it an opportunity to see a legendary Hawaiian musician perform with his own hula halau in a deliciously intimate setting.

Robert Cazimero and members of his award-winning Halau Na Kamalei o Lililehua will perform at tonight’s Full Moon Concert at Chef Chai, the celebrated restaurant known for spectacular Hawaii regional cuisine.

Chef Chai offers a wonderful venue for this show, in a room featuring dreamy decor that somehow feels both organic and contemporary.

“It’s very intimate,” says owner and chef Chai Chaowasaree. “The farthest table is only 30 feet away. No matter where you sit, it’s a perfect seat.”

The special Full Moon Concert menu ($79 per person) begins with Chicken Tenderloin Sate with Thai Peanut Sauce, Asian Flat Bread and Cucumber Salad. Next comes a selection of appetizers that includes Foie Gras Chawan Mushi with Toasted Brioche and Black Berry Manoa Honey Compote, Smoked Duck Taco with Spicy Mango Salsa, as well as Chai’s famous Kataifi and Mac Nut Encrusted Black Tiger Prawns with Big Island Rainbow Greens and Tangerine Vinaigrette.
