Since the turkey day holiday rapidly is approaching, you’ll really want to trot over to Jade Dynasty Seafood Restaurant so you can “gobble” up the sumptuous Thanksgiving specials that this elegant Chinese restaurant will offer.
Gary Chan, general manager, shares that Jade Dynasty at Ala Moana Center will feature two Thanksgiving specials Nov. 22-25 — a 6-Courses Set for a table of 10 ($338), and a Thanksgiving takeout special ($198). Customers must provide at least three days advance notice for both the dine-in and takeout specials.
Chan says the 6-Courses Set includes Golden Fried Shrimp Balls, a Roasted Turkey (12-14 pounds), Steamed Kahuku Shrimps with Garlic on a bed of look fun, Sweet Potato Greens, Pumpkin Mochi Fried Rice and Pumpkin Mochi.
The takeout package consists of the 12to 14-pound Roasted Turkey, Poached Kahuku Shrimps and Pumpkin Mochi Fried Rice.
Golden Fried Shrimp Balls contain a yummy deep-fried shrimp mousse served with sweet-and-sour dipping sauce. The juicy Roasted Turkey is made with Chinese red curd and served with Chef’s Special Sauce, shares Chan.
Steamed Kahuku Shrimps consist of delectable shell-on shrimp, which are steamed, topped with a layer of Chinese scampi sauce and nestled on a bed of look fun noodles.
Sweet Potato Greens is a healthy entree of sauteed tender green tips of sweet potatoes with whole garlic.
Chan says his personal favorite of the whole meal is Pumpkin Mochi Fried Rice. “This is stir-fried mochi rice with Chinese sausage and pumpkin. You can have a savory taste and sweet taste in one bite,” Chan emphasizes.
Finishing off this great feast is Pumpkin Mochi for dessert. This luscious treat is crafted with handmade deep-fried lotus paste covered with a pumpkin-flavored wrap.
Since Thanksgiving marks a time of showing appreciation for one’s blessings, remember to shower your family and friends with gracious gratitude — give them a mouthwatering meal from Jade Dynasty during the upcoming holiday week.
