With a diverse selection of local-style comfort food and classic dishes available throughout the day at affordable prices, New Eagle Cafe continues to serve as a go-to dining destination for the entire family to enjoy.

The popular eatery continues a local culinary tradition that spans more than eight decades, and is situated in Nimitz Center along Nimitz Highway in the heart of Honolulu’s bustling business and industrial district. Owner Tae Im continues the restaurant’s legacy of serving flavorful favorites accompanied by excellent customer service in an inviting atmosphere.

“We offer a friendly, local-style atmosphere,” says Im. “I definitely want to continue the tradition of the restaurant and carry the torch.”

New Eagle Cafe is known for its delicious entrees served throughout the week and on weekends for lunch and dinner. Garlic Shrimp ($24.50) smells nearly as good as it tastes with sauteed shrimp served in a rich garlic butter sauce. Kalbi is also available daily, as the delicious Barbecue Short Ribs ($16.25) are marinated in kalbi-style sauce and cooked to tender perfection.

Garlic Chicken ($14.75) is another local favorite featuring mouthwatering fried boneless chicken served in a zesty garlic sauce. The aforementioned entree selections are accompanied by a choice of white rice, brown rice, mashed potatoes or fries.

Guests also look forward to ample breakfast offerings at New Eagle Cafe, served daily from 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, and 6 a.m. to noon on Saturday and Sunday. Two Pork Chops and Eggs ($16.50) is a popular selection for early risers, and includes center-cut pork chops accompanied by two eggs and a choice of white or brown rice, hash browns or toast.

And, what would a great meal be without dessert?

Guests may choose from: Vanilla or Chocolate Ice Cream ($3.50 each); Guava Sherbet ($3.50) or Jell-O ($2); a slice of Apple, Banana, Pear, Apricot, Coconut, Custard or Peach Pie ($3.50 apiece); and other assorted desserts, including Jell-O Cream Cheese Square, Pumpkin Crunch and Banana Cream Cheese Square ($3.50 each). As a reminder, these desserts (except for ice cream) are subject to availability, as they are made from scratch every morning.

Customers can take advantage of New Eagle Cafe’s “cut above the rest” special, Roast Prime Rib for Two ($50, add $11.50 per slice for a double cut), which also includes tossed salad or soup of the day, a beverage and dessert for two diners.
