Kozo Sushi’s array of party platters, including the Kahala Special ($39.99), are ready to enhance your Mother’s Day celebration — or any gathering, for that matter.

Looking for something special to take to a Mother’s Day gathering today? Kozo Sushi can help!

Oahu’s favorite sushi shop has a plethora of party platters that Mom and everybody in the ohana will just adore. They’re perfect for the holiday — or any kind of celebration.

The Deluxe Nigiri Set ($36.99), for example is a great place to start your sushi search. This elegant platter includes an assortment of nigiri (ahi, ika, egg, negitoro, ikura, masago, ebi, unagi and salmon) and hosomaki (tekka, cucumber and shinko).

“We recommend this plate for people who want to bring luxury sushi to a party,” says Kyle Higashide, manager of Kozo Sushi’s Keeaumoku location. “It looks great, has great contents, and is very affordably priced.”

At $49.99, the Kamaaina Set delivers a huge selection of makimono, hosomaki and inari.

This platter, explains Higashide, was created for those who might not be able to eat raw fish.

“A lot of customers order it for graduation parties and events. It’s a great deal, considering it has 98 pieces!”

(The Kamaaina Set should be consumed within two hours of purchase.)

Finally, the Kahala Special ($39.99) is a mouth-watering collection that includes California maki with masago, BLT (bacon, lettuce and tomato) maki, tempura maki, and nigiri with ahi, ebi, ikura, egg, unagi and ika.

“We made this plate when we opened our Kahala store in 2009,” says Higashide. “We combined our employees’ ideas, and our popular nigiri and maki sushi items.”

When the 46-piece platter became a bestseller in Kahala, it was added to the menu at Kozo Sushi’s other stores in Pearl City, Pearlridge, Moiliili and Keeaumoku.

Here’s a happy note for all the folks who have been missing the store for which this awesome platter is named: renovations at Kozo Sushi’s Kahala location are moving along as planned, and the store will reopen this summer.
