As it expands to keep up with customer demand both in Hawaii and across the globe, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue continues to serve up local favorites — including increasingly popular healthier options.
The ever-expanding restaurant chain has flourished throughout its 40-plus years in operation, and now includes more than 50 Hawaii locations, restaurants in multiple states throughout the U.S. mainland, and international locations.
L&L Hawaiian Barbecue has built on its simple-yet-effective concept of serving up plates with two hearty servings of rice, a serving of macaroni salad and one’s choice of local fresh catch, chicken or alternative entree option.
Popular selections epitomize local comfort food and include best-selling Chicken Katsu, deep-fried boneless chicken served with signature piquant katsu sauce, and tender, delicious Barbecue Beef (prices vary by location).
Healthier options have become popular among diners looking to eat better in 2018, and L&L couples value and great taste in meals that include a protein paired with a scoop of brown rice and a hearty blend of mixed greens, just in time for the new year. Diners return often for the healthier versions of Barbecue Chicken, Garlic Shrimp or Garlic Ahi (prices vary by location), which pack plenty of protein and flavor into each bite.
“Customers enjoy our healthier menu options that also taste great, including the garlic shrimp — you get a high-quality meal at a very affordable price,” says Brandon Dela Cruz, director of marketing for L&L. “We continue to offer excellent variety and great local-style food at more than 50 convenient locations across the state.”
