Cheers to the holiday season

One of the best things about the holiday season is getting together with loved ones over a nice meal — whether that’s a casual one at home or a dressed-up affair at a classy restaurant, such as Wolfgang’s Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener in Waikiki. Head to the upscale eatery to celebrate this special time of year with the people who matter most.

“Holidays at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse have become a tradition for both kamaaina and visitors since we opened back in 2009,” says general manager Bill Nickerson.

“Families, couples and friends who join us during this special season know that a meal at Wolfgang’s Steak-house will make the holidays extra special,” he adds.

Owner Wolfgang Zwiener is spending the holidays here in the Islands, and will be greeting guests at the restaurant almost nightly.

From the award-winning wine list and USDA Prime Black Angus beef selections to an array of entrees, which include lobster, veal, lamb or wild king salmon, the restaurant has something for every palate.

On Dec. 24 and 25, enjoy a Prime Rib Special ($79.95, available from 11 a.m. to midnight), which includes Caesar Salad and a 22-to 24-ounce prime rib, with creamy Mashed Potatoes and Creamed Spinach.

Complement your meal with a sensational dessert item (not included in the special), such as Junior’s New York Cheesecake, Wolfgang’s Apple Strudel, Key Lime Pie or Chocolate Mousse Pie.

And on Dec. 31, the eatery invites guests to bid aloha to 2017 with its popular Surf ‘n Turf ($89.95, available from 11 a.m. Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. Jan. 1), featuring a 1-pound lobster tail served with a lemon wedge and drawn butter; and a Prime 8-ounce dry-aged sirloin steak, along with a Champagne toast to celebrate the end of the year.

The regular menu also will be available for all three days.

Lastly, consider making your evening more exclusive by reserving one of the eatery’s two private rooms, which can accommodate up to 100 people.
