Local Boy ($11.95)

Located in the Kaimuki Shopping Center, Fairwood Drive Inn & Pho 27 Cafe has established itself as the go-to place to conquer your cravings without emptying your wallet.

The two-in-one restaurant offers customers an array of options to feast on — from Vietnamese dishes, like pho, spring rolls and lemon-grass chicken; to Chinese cuisine, such as roast duck and wonton mein; as well as local-style take-out dishes, including chicken katsu and loco moco — all for a reasonable price.

Oxtail Pho ($14.95)

Among the favorites loved by regulars is Local Boy ($11.95), a combination plate that brings together battered honey garlic chicken, char siu and teriyaki steak with white rice and mac salad.

Whether you’re looking to sit down, relax and slurp up a warm broth, or grab something quick and filling on the go, you are sure to find exactly what you’re craving at either part of the restaurant.

THIS IS THE ONE ‘PHO’ YOU

You won’t go wrong with ordering pho from Fairwood Drive Inn & Pho 27 Cafe, a two-in-one eatery located in Kaimuki Shopping Center.

Next time you find yourself searching through the endless options, look no further than Oxtail Pho ($14.95), which is recommended by owner Tiffany Ko.

The soup is brimming with oxtail, carrots, Chinese cabbage, peanuts, black mushrooms and noodles. And even though this dish cannot be combined with any discounts, it’s already offered at a low, reasonable price with a large amount of flavor.
