Kozo Sushi has announced that the Keeaumoku Street location is now among its stores that will be open 365 days a year, including Thanksgiving, offering customers more convenient and tasty options for their holiday gatherings.

Other Kozo Sushi stores that will be open Nov. 23 include Moiliili and Pearl City (9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.), as well as Pearlridge (9:30-1 a.m.). Its Kahala Mall location is closed for renovations.

Kozo Sushi first opened in 1972 in Osaka, Japan, and has since become popular for its fast-food, takeout sushi made with the best ingredients available and at a great value.

The restaurant also focuses on being healthy and fresh, and does not use MSG in its rice, which is made with a special Kozo Sushi vinegar that’s similar to the quality of sushi served at sit-down restaurants.

The restaurants also offer vegetarian options, and can customize menu items to meet customers’s requests. In addition to sushi, there also are a variety of donburi, bentos, soba, udon and more.

PARTY-PACKED PLATTERS

Kozo Sushi offers party platters that have become an island tradition and potluck favorite. The eight types of platters available are Junior Set ($21.99), Sukeroku Plate ($23.50), Deluxe Maki Set ($29.99), Deluxe Nigiri Set ($36.99), Aloha Set ($29.99), Kahala Special Plate ($39.99), Kamaaina Plate ($49.99) and Family Set ($29.99).

The Family Set features 45 pieces of sushi, consisting of nigiri (Ahi, Egg, Ebi and Salmon), hoso maki (Tekka, Cucumber and Shinko Maki), makimono (California Maki and Futo Maki) and Inari-Cone Sushi.

Or, for those who prefer not to or can’t eat raw fish, try the Deluxe Maki Set, a combination maki sushi platter, with makimono (Futo Maki, Egg Maki and California Maki), hoso maki (Ume, Kanpyo, Cucumber and Shinko Maki) and Inari-Cone Sushi.
