Fairwood Drive Inn & Pho 27 Cafe remains a faithful provider for diners, even after nearly 25 years of business — and counting.

Located in Kaimuki Shopping Center for the past six years, this eatery has all the fixings to satisfy anyone’s craving for Chinese, Vietnamese and/or local fare.

Owner Tiffany Ko recommends treating taste buds to the eatery’s newest menu item on the Fairwood Drive Inn side of the restaurant. Taro Pork plate ($11.95) is a pleasing combination of savory pot roast, taro and rice.

Another popular item sure to fill any appetite is traditional Chinese Jai ($9.25 with rice, $9.75 a la carte), which is served year-round — whereas most other places only offer the specialty during Chinese New Year.

The restaurant’s dine-in section, Pho 27 Cafe, also presents a yummy selection of soothing pho options, along with ever-so-faithful sides such as Vietnamese spring rolls or summer rolls.

DIVE INTO THESE FAVORITES:

Fairwood Drive Inn & Pho 27 Cafe offers an array of Asian and local dishes such as Loco Moco, Honey Garlic Chicken, Teriyaki Steak and more. A favorite among customers is the Fish and Shrimp rice plate ($11.95) from Fairwood Drive Inn. It is a delightful dish for those looking for a nice, crispy bite, which is provided by the fried shrimp, and a tender bite of battered fish. Both are accompanied by rice and a scoop of macaroni salad that also can be substituted with a different side, such as fries, for a small additional cost.
