It’s Sunday morning and you’ve just finished your coffee. Suddenly, you realize that you forgot to make Mother’s Day plans for the most important lady in your life. Have no fear — Little Village Noodle House has you covered.

The restaurant’s Mother’s Day Menu is available all day today (May 14), and it includes Homemade Mushroom Chicken Soup, Seafood Lettuce Wrap, Lobster Tail Delight, Mushroom/Crab sautéed over Baby Spinach, Crispy Skin Roasted Duck, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Popular Orange Chicken, Salt and Pepper Boneless Pork Chops and Ginger Milk Custard.

You can call to reserve a table, as the Mother’s Day Menu costs $308 per table of 10 people or $138 per table of four.

President and general manager David Chang praises selections says his favorites from the menu are lobster, lettuce wraps and Ginger Milk Custard.

“Instead of using a whole lobster (for Lobster Tail Delight), we use lobster tail without a head,” says Chang. “We do it in a Chinese-style ginger-onion sauce, which is like a gravy, and stir-fry it.”

The dish is then served on a bed of seasonal vegetables.

Seafood Lettuce Wrap, on the other hand, is served with a tasty, spicy aioli for dipping. “The seafood mix consists of braised scallop, baby shrimp, shiitake mushrooms and sautéed water chestnuts,” explains Chang.

And for the perfect ending to your Mother’s Day meal, indulge in Ginger Milk Custard, which is Little Village’s unique take on créme brulee.

Spend your day at Little Village and you’re guaranteed to leave feeling full and satisfied. The restaurant is located on Smith Street in Chinatown and is known and loved for its Northern Chinese-style cuisine. “We go with natural ingredients, big and bold flavors, and we use less sauce and gravy,” says Chang.

He also like reminds Dining Out readers to check out Little Village’s new website and app, which allows hungry diners to easily order their food online (visit littlevillagehawaii.com).
