Make your next event a tasty one with Roast Meats Platter and Ham and Dried Scallop Soup (party portion pictured).

With graduation season here and Father’s Day right around the corner, what better place to host your next party than at Golden Palace Seafood Restaurant?

The eatery’s large dining room is great for private parties; or, consider reserving the banquet room upstairs, which holds up to 500 guests.

Father-and-son duo Howard and Gary Lam opened Golden Palace back in 2001. Their traditional Chinese eatery is hard to miss on North King Street in Chinatown because of its red and gold facade — and the food is just as showstopping.

Be sure to try Ham and Dried Scallop Soup ($9.95 on the regular menu), prepared with high-quality dried scallops from Hokkaido, Japan. Gary, who also serves as general manager, says the scallops are boiled for hours until soft, then added to the mix of shredded ham, shiitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots and egg.

GETTING THE PARTY STARTED WITH TASTY FARE

Provide your next party with enough protein to satisfy each guest’s appetite. Golden Palace’s Roast Meats Platter will do just that with roast duck, char siu, shoyu chicken, jellyfish and beef shank in rum sauce. “Everything is roasted in-house daily,” says general manager Gary Lam, who adds that the platter can be ordered off the eatery’s very-customizable party menus, which start at $198 for 10 people.
