If you’re on the hunt for authentic Italian fare that is truly buono, look no further than Romano’s Macaroni Grill. Conveniently located at Ala Moana Center within Hookipa Terrace, corporate chef Nawai Kekoolani takes the reigns when creating mouthwatering dishes that keep guests returning and hungry for more.

Macaroni Grill currently is the hot spot for lunch, as it recently brought back its beloved Lunch Combos to the menu. With an assortment of dishes to choose from — soup or salad (Caesar, Mixed Greens or Blackboard Soup), Panini (Turkey or Caprese) and pasta (Capellini Pomodoro, Carmela’s Chicken, Fettuccine Alfredo or Sausage Rigatoni) — patrons have the option of selecting two items for $12 or three items for $16. “We’re trying to give our guests the best value, and in that respect, the lunch combo is awesome,” says Kekoolani.

BRICK-OVEN PIZZA

Fairly new to the menu at Macaroni Grill is Farmhouse Pizza ($15.95). In the past, pizzas at Macaroni Grill were all flatbreads, but now they are Neapolitan-style, carefully handcrafted with the finest ingredients and baked in a brick oven.

The tasty Farmhouse offers diners a little bit of everything. It starts off with an Alfredo-sauce base and is topped with butcher-chopped bacon, prosciutto and pepperoni, as well as sautéed spinach and fresh mozzarella, fonduta and Parmesan cheeses.
