Aja Sushi & Bento perfectly exemplifies Hawaii’s melting pot of cultures, as it boasts a variety of to-go dishes from Korean, Japanese, Filipino and other influences. Located in the hustle and bustle of Ala Moana Center’s Makai Market Food Court, Aja is the place for you to take a break and enjoy a meal during your busy workday or weekend full of shopping.
The eatery proudly offers many family recipes. According to owner Lauren Yoo, Aja’s Garlic Chicken is a must-have. “It’s a signature dish,” she says. “You can have it in a plate lunch or as a catering platter.”
A quick lunch option is Garlic Chicken Salad ($6.99), which comprises the signature chicken on a bed of romaine lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, corn, olives and red cabbage. Guests can then choose from balsamic vinegar, Italian, ranch or Thousand Island dressing.
Want more ways to enjoy Aja’s Garlic Chicken? Treat the family to dinner by picking up Family Pack Garlic Chicken ($14.99) on your way home from work. “It’s Korean family-style garlic chicken,” explains owner Lauren Yoo. “The Pack feeds 4-6 people and is great for dinner to-go.”
Aja also offers Garlic Chicken Party Platter ($44.99), which feeds 15-17 people and is an awesome idea for upcoming holiday parties.
