A CLOSER LOOK AT THIS WEEK’S HOUSE SPECIAL: Tantan Men Special ($13.50)

Patrons may remember Junpuu from the old Shirokiya. Rather than move with the popular Japanese food court to its new location, Junpuu owner Eiji Kato decided to branch out instead with his own larger venue, now located off of South King Street.

Junpuu is known for its one-of-a-kind ramen dishes. Lunchtime warriors will find a delicious, hearty meal at the establishment, choosing from items such as Junpuu Original Curry, Takoyaki and Spicy Cheese Gyoza, in addition to ramen. Kato even offers vegetarian options, such as Vegetarian Tomato Ramen ($10.50), as well as gluten-free noodles ($3.50).

With ample street parking and a lot located in the back of the building, customers have every opportunity to experience the slurp-worthy fare at the upgraded Junpuu.
