Located on the third floor of Ala Moana Hotel, Royal Garden Chinese Restaurant has made its mark in the local community for more than 30 years, with its shareable platters of noodles, seafood and meats, along with craveable dim sum.

“We see a lot of Hong Kong VIPs dining at our restaurant, and local Chinese customers love us because we serve traditional and authentic Hong Kong-style cuisine,” says Calvin Wong, owner of the restaurant, who works together with his brother

Johnny, the executive chef. Wong adds, “We have one famous boss who comes to our restaurant every time he visits Hawaii. He makes a special request to use the hotel back elevator to pick up his food (to be discreet).”

According to Wong, the Peking Duck served up at Royal Garden is one of the most popular items. He is excited to share that for a limited time through Aug. 31, the Peking Duck, regularly $50, is offered for half price at $25 — a discount many regulars and first timers alike won’t be able to refuse.

The offer is available for dinner only, limited to one dish per party, and customers are asked to order the dish a day in advance, along with a purchase of $50 or more for dinner.

Customers are invited to tuck slices of the whole roasted Peking Duck into soft, fresh Chinese buns, add sliced carrots and onions, and top it off with a delicious homemade sauce.

Diners can enjoy the Peking Duck special and other mouthwatering Chinese dishes within the restaurant’s elegant ambiance, complete with decorative red lanterns and Asian paintings. White tablecloths and round tables also help to provide an up-scale dining experience for all customers.
