Since 1969, Wailana Coffee House has become a landmark restaurant in Waikiki known for its tasty local-style comfort food.
Wailana celebrates Mother’s Day May 8 with a special menu (11 a.m.-midnight) featuring Scallops and Shrimps ($14.95), Chicken Marsala ($14.50) and more. Each dish is served with corn on the cob; choice of starch; all-you-can-eat salad bar, fresh fruits or corn chowder; strawberry short cake; and a beverage (coffee, tea or soft drink).

There also is a breakfast special: Eggs Benedict Royal ($12.50, available all day).
Wailana hosts live music Tuesdays and Thursdays in the cocktail lounge, and happy hour (noon-6 p.m.) offers 50 percent off pupus from 3 to 5 p.m.
