April 27 is Administrative Professionals Day, and in honor of the occasion, Pagoda Floating Restaurant and Catering is hosting a special buffet in its C’est Si Bon Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The buffet will feature dozens of appetizers, entrees and desserts to choose from, as well as live entertainment — music by Kimo Opiana and comedy by Kaleo Pilanca.

“Let’s make a toast to all the secretaries, assistants, receptionists and other support professionals in our lives — thanking them for all of their hard work,” says Pagoda catering sales manager Risa Myers.

The buffet costs $40 per person. Diners can choose from several entrees, including Horseradish Crusted Salmon with Herb Garlic Butter and Asian Vegetables, which features a tender piece of salmon topped with a mixture of horseradish, panko flakes, Dijon mustard and honey.

Another option is Pork Kombu Maki, which is Japanese seaweed wrapped around carrots, gobo and pork — all braised in a sweet soy sauce.

Then there’s the Mochi Beef Pearls, seasoned ground beef rolled in steamed mochi rice.

And that’s not all — in addition to these options, there also will be chicken and fish entrees. Plus, the buffet will feature a salad and appetizer bar stocked with an array of choices, including Strawberry Caesar Salad with Toasted French Baguettes, Green Papaya Salad, Fresh Tropical Fruits, Caprese Salad With Mozzarella & Vine Ripe Tomatoes, Cold Ginger Chicken and more.

“And then our dessert section is going to be really, really good,” adds Myers.

At the dessert station, there will be Butter Mochi, Haupia, Zenzai with Mochi, Assorted Pastries, Creme Brulee and Chocolate Mousse.

“Show your staff how great they are and how much harder work would be without them,” Myers says.
