A longtime local favorite, Prince Court continues to be a popular choice for its tasty buffet offerings.

According to food and beverage manager Terrence Kim, on average about 75 to 80 percent of its dinner guests are kamaaina. “We have a really strong local following,” he says. “We’ve developed a reputation of having great food and a great view. And a lot of it is word of mouth.”

Located on the third floor of Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki with a panoramic view of Ala Wai Yacht Harbor and the Pacific Ocean, Prince Court serves contemporary island cuisine with a fusion of flavors from the East and West. The casual, family-friendly restaurant offers a Lunch Buffet ($32) Monday to Friday, Hawaiian Buffet ($35) on Saturday, Brunch Buffet ($45) on Sunday, and Seafood and Prime Rib Dinner Buffet ($53) daily. A modified a la carte menu also is available.

A senior discount (age 50 and above) is available at $26 for lunch Monday to Thursday, and $43 for dinner Monday to Thursday.

A special Easter Brunch also will be offered March 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (last seating) with the Easter Bunny in attendance. Enjoy specialty stations, such as a dim sum station, as well as dishes that aren’t usually offered. Cost is $65. Reservations are still available, but going fast.

WHAT A SPREAD!

Prince Court is known for its award-winning buffet, including its Seafood and Prime Rib Dinner Buffet consisting of about 50 delicious food items, including dessert.

Among the most popular dishes are Prime Rib with Au Jus, baked oysters and, of course, steamed crab legs featuring Alaskan snow crab legs, served chilled with drawn butter and lemon on the side.

The baked oysters are made with farm-raised oysters from Korea and an aioli sauce that changes weekly, ranging from sweet chili to citrus or calamansi-and-shichimi varieties.

Other seafood favorites include shrimp tempura, Manila clams, sushi and sashimi.

Available from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. daily, the Seafood and Prime Rib Dinner Buffet costs $53 per person (half price for children age 6-10, and free for children age 5 and younger).
