With a host of menu selections, décor options and venues from which to choose, Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki takes the stress out of planning and executing a wedding or special event.

As a special inside scoop for Dining Out readers, Hawaii Prince has introduced a new lineup of dishes that will debut later this month. The culinary creations are crafted by executive chef Kirby Wong and his experienced heart-of-the-house team, and include Macadamia Nut Crusted Lamb with roasted potatoes and mint jus. Also new are Steamed Opakapaka with baby bok choy and steamed rice; Roasted Beef Tenderloin with perigourdine sauce and twin mashed potatoes; and Kauai Shrimp with pasta, Hamakua mushrooms and Kamuela tomatoes (prices vary by event).

Cara Sawai, account executive for catering sales at Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki, notes that dates are still available for those looking to book weddings and other gatherings for up to 420 people this year, in 2017 and beyond. The Hawaii Prince staff is standing by to connect interested parties with experienced and reliable vendors to assist with everything from stunning floral arrangements to attractive table settings. Call 952-4789 or email hphw-c&cs@hiprince. com for more information and to schedule an event.

Diners are encouraged to mark their calendars for Saturday, March 19, at 6 p.m., as Hawaii Prince Hotel will host a wine tasting event showcasing vino from South America (price to be determined). The hotel also is home to the popular Prince Court eatery, which was named “Best Buffet” as part of Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s Hawaii’s Best 2015 people’s choice awards. Situated on the third floor of the hotel, Prince Court’s expansive buffet offers a spacious, inviting dining area surrounded by stunning views of Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, and serves up a perfect vantage point for enjoying a picturesque sunset.

While visiting Hawaii Prince Hotel, guests are encouraged to check out Hakone and its award-winning, authentic Japanese cuisine. The hotel also has its own Hawaii Prince Golf Club featuring 27 dramatic holes designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay on Ewa Plain. After a round of golf, or for guests in the area looking for a memorable meal, diners are encouraged to visit Bird of Paradise restaurant for breakfast, Sunday brunch, lunch and special occasions.
