A CLOSER LOOK AT THIS WEEK’S HOUSE SPECIAL: Red Curry Roast Duck ($37)

It’s high time for Thai — Thai cuisine, that is. And at Noi Thai Cuisine, food, atmosphere and service come second to none for anyone longing for the ultimate dining experience.

“We wanted to bring authentic Thai food and taste to Hawaii,” says general manager Ying Rosawan.

The Waikiki eatery opened at Royal Hawaiian Center in late October — the sixth location in the nation, while being the first to offer fine dining in a royal palace-themed ambiance.

Right now, you can take advantage of Noi Thai’s holiday gift card special: For every $100 gift card purchased, customers get a $10 coupon.

As for popular dishes, Red Curry Roast Duck is worth every penny. A flavorful curry is enhanced with Thai basil and fruit, offering a sweet-and-salty bite along with a perfect kick of spicy temptations. Presentation is key at Noi Thai Cuisine. The roast duck, for instance, is brought to the table in a jar, then moved onto the patron’s plate, releasing the aroma of Applewood smoke and herbs along the way. As a finishing touch, additional curry is poured over the dish, which comes with pineapple rice and an elegant carving that creates the ultimate fine-dining setting.
