Conveniently located beneath Safeway on South Beretania Street is the ideal fix for a quick meal. Whether you’re on your lunch break or in a hurry to get home, Asian Mix offers quality food that’s reasonably priced and presented in large portions.
The eatery opened in 2012, and has since been serving a plethora of all your Asian favorites. Like its name suggests, Asian Mix offers up a variety of foods influenced by Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese and local cultures. In addition to popular menu items such as Beef with Broccoli ($9.95) and Shrimp with Vegetables ($11.95), Asian Mix also has specials for $6.95. Be on the lookout for its upcoming special: Chicken Salad ($6.95), which is dressed with a secret recipe and loaded with lots of chicken.
READY TO ROAST
Barbecue Pork and Roast Duck on Rice ($9.50) is loved by many customers at Asian Mix. This mouthwatering meal only is made twice a day (once in the morning and once in the afternoon) because of all the work that goes into preparing it.
After finding quality meat, the pork is marinated in a specially made barbecue sauce for about 10 hours, while the duck is soaked in the same sauce for 24 hours. Both are then roasted to perfection for the eatery’s hungry regulars.
