While mothers should be honored daily for their priceless contributions to the lives of their children and families, Zippy’s is serving up delicious Mother’s Day specials in time for the important occasion.
Zippy’s will offer multiple complete meal options while supplies last throughout Mother’s Day weekend (May 9 and 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.) designed to satisfy the appetites of local families.
Grilled Salmon with Crab and Artichoke Sauce and Garlic Butter Shrimp ($19.50 at the dine-in restaurant only, prices may vary by location) features scrumptious salmon topped with a creamy crab and artichoke sauce along with broiled shrimp basted with garlic butter. The flavorful medley is served with choy sum, broccoli and a choice of white or brown rice, french fries or real mashed potatoes.
Prime Rib ($24.25 at the dine-in restaurant only, prices may vary by location) is another local favorite served with horseradish, au jus, hot vegetables and a choice of white or brown rice, french fries or real mashed potatoes. Each Mother’s Day complete meal option includes a dinner roll, choice of soup or tossed salad, choice of large drink or coffee, as well as a dessert selection: Strawberry Shortcake Fantasy, Brownie Delight or Red Velvet Cake A La Mode.
“Moms deserve to be treated — that’s why we have a special menu to celebrate their day!” says Jeanine Mamiya-Kalahiki, marketing manager at Zippy’s Restaurants. “Actually, we should give thanks to our moms every day, but Mother’s Day gives us the opportunity to gather our families and recognize Mom for her unconditional love and always being there for us.”
Throughout May, Zippy’s Restaurants are offering guests a special “Escape to Waikoloa Giveaway.” The grand prize includes luxurious room accommodations for three nights at Hilton Waikoloa Village and 60,000 HawaiianMiles from Hawaiian Airlines — enough for four round-trip airfares to and from the Big Island.
Zippy’s, the reigning winner of Honolulu Star-Advertiser‘s annual Hawaii’s Best People’s Choice Awards for the “Best Family Dining,” “Best Late Night Eatery” and “Best Bento” categories, continues to offer can’t-miss monthly promotions that appeal to diners’ tastes and budgets. Zippy’s offers spectacular savings through May 31 on Chili Plate ($5.75 at the fast food counter, $6.75 at dine-in restaurant) and Chili Frank Plate ($7.15 at the fast food counter, $8.25 at dine-in restaurant). As a reminder, prices may vary by location.
“We offer a casual, friendly place to dine with family and friends. By serving many tasty favorites with consistent quality and taste, there’s something for everyone,” explains Mamiya-Kalahiki. “It’s also convenient, safe and we keep our menu fresh with new items, in addition to offering great giveaways!”
Diners will be pleased to hear that Zippy’s is bringing back the popular Fresh Strawberry Salad ($8.50 at the dine-in restaurant, available through May 31, prices may vary by location). This light and refreshing yet filling option includes Kunia Aquaponic greens, fresh strawberry slices and sliced almonds. The salad is served with a house-made vinaigrette dressing to tie all the flavors together.
Those with a hankering for dessert can satisfy their sweet tooth with Zippy’s new Triple Chocolate Waffle ($7.65 at dine-in restaurants only, available through June 30, prices may vary by location). The sweet treat includes a scoop of chocolate ice cream atop a crisp Belgian waffle with whipped cream, chopped double-chocolate brownie from Napoleon’s Bakery and chocolate syrup — all sprinkled with Napoleon’s Melting Moments crumbles.
“The Strawberry Salad has been a favorite with our cus tomers, as a light and refreshing salad with a sweet vinaigrette dressing to top it off,” says Mamiya-Kalahiki. “And, for the chocolate lovers, the Triple Chocolate Waffle is sure to please!”
From flaky Napples to flavorful Zip Pacs, Zippy’s continues to serve up local comfort food around the clock while living up to its reputation as one of “Hawaii’s Best” dining destinations.
