With the food truck scene still booming, Five Star Shrimp delivers a menu that exceeds the expectations of its small cooking quarters. The bright blue mobile kitchen, parked at the corner of Kapahulu and Kaimuki streets, stands out almost as much as the establishmentai??i??s delicious plate lunches. With the recent addition of its delivery services, Five Star Shrimp hopes to cater to the local community as well as continue to serve the tourists that flock from Waikiki and Leonardai??i??s Bakery ai??i?? located right down the street. You don’t have to make the drive out to the North Shore anymore to binge on quality shrimp; visit the truck in Kapahulu and try the eatery’s ai???star of the seaai??? dish, Spicy Shrimp

All the ingredients simmer in one pot, before being plated with a scoop of white rice (brown rice coming soon), green salad and a couple of li hing mui pineapple slices.

ai???Before I came on board, the truck only sold a few shrimp plates,ai??? shares manager and part-owner Jeremy Gante. When he added local favorites like Shoyu Chicken ($8.95) and Two Choice Combo ($12.95, with a choice of two items: Steak, shrimp or chicken), the clientele grew!

A medley of ai???secret stuffai??? is added, along with heavy cream and white wine, creating a thick, fiery sauce youai??i??ll want to drink after all the pieces of shrimp are gone.

Chili flakes give the recipe its kick, without burning the tongue ai??i?? unless so requested.

Garlic is tossed in a pan before large shrimp ai??i?? supplied by local vendors ai??i?? are added.
