A CLOSER LOOK AT THIS WEEK’S HOUSE SPECIAL: Combination #1 ($48)

The lobster makes its way from Boston into the combo meal, sitting atop a heaping pile of crawfish, or “mini lobsters,” as they often are called.

Tucked away in Windward City Shopping Center, a seafood oasis awaits, serving diners with endless choices of the ocean’s finest fare. New to the neighborhood, Cajun King replicates an East Coast smorgasbord with Asian influences, including boiled medleys of sea critters, doused in sauces of your choosing. The Windward side has not tasted anything like it yet. And what better way to enjoy a hearty meal than with company? The establishment’s combos are perfect for sharing, featuring multiple seafood variations for everyone’s particular tastes, such as Combination #1, which spotlights Boston lobster and other seafood favorites.

A handful of shrimp, mussels and clams are thrown into the amalgamation. Don’t worry, it’s a big enough portion to keep you and your dining partner from fighting over who gets what.

Patrons can “dump the seafood onto the covered table,” explains manager Jin Chen. “We even provide bibs!”

Turn up the heat with various spice levels, or do without the spice altogether, the choice is yours!

The seafood is simply boiled and placed in a large plastic bag, where the mixture awaits proper flavoring. Diners can choose from six different seasonings that accompany the meal, including manager favorites like Cajun Style, Garlic Butter and Lemon Garlic Butter.

A seafood boil would not be complete without the addition of morsels of sausage, corn on the cob and potatoes. The eatery does not disappoint.
