Waikiki is bustling with a variety of restaurants to satiate your appetite. When choosing the best steakhouse, however, nothing comes close to the sophisticated atmosphere and superior cuisine offered at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener. On the top floor of Royal Hawaiian Center, overlooking ever-busy Kalakaua Avenue, Wolfgang’s is an oasis of flavors. Since 2009, Wolfgang’s has established itself as one of the most popular restaurants in Hawaii — with good reason.

“We use only USDA Prime Grade Black Angus beef for superior marbling, tenderness, flavor and texture,” says executive chef Diego Pacuruco. “The beef is dry-aged on-site for 28 days, then carved to order by our own butcher into Wolfgang’s signature Porterhouse, prime New York sirloin, ribeye, filet mignon and prime rib. The results are meltingly tender and juicy steaks served sizzling hot with a perfectly caramelized crust.”

Celebrated for its dry-aging process, Zwiener has expanded Wolfgang’s from its original home in New York, and its location in Waikiki, to include Califor-nia, Florida and New Jersey, as well as Japan and Korea internationally. Once a head waiter at the nationally acclaimed Peter Luger’s Steakhouse, Zwiener’s vast experience in the business, love for good food and dedication to quality service has put Wolfgang’s at the forefront of the industry.

At Wolfgang’s you can taste some of Zwiener’s family recipes, such as German Potatoes and Apple Strudel. “People definitely come for our steaks, but I hear from so many people who have other favorites like our Cana-dian Bacon, the Eggs Bene-dict served during brunch, Ahi Tartar and our seafood options, too,” says Pacuruco. “We also have a great happy hour menu that features some more local flavors, like our Loco Moco and Kalbi Sliders.”

With Mother’s Day fast approaching, treat the mother in your life to Wolf-gang’s elegant dining experience. On Sunday, May 10, Wolfgang’s will be offering a special three-course menu ($64.95), featuring an appetizer, entree, dessert and a complimentary glass of Champagne. Choose from your choice of Jumbo Lump Crabcake, Sizzling Bacon, Caesar Salad or Manhattan Style Clam Chowder. Then, dig in to a Petit Filet with Au Poivre Sauce with Garlic Mashed Potatoes or Grilled Wild Salmon with Broccoli or Asparagus. For dessert, enjoy Junior’s NY Cheesecake. To show Mom how much she’s appreciated, Wolfgang’s will also give her a $20 gift certificate for her next visit.
