Kozo Sushi Hawaii provides local residents with the same great tastes that have enabled it to become one of the most popular takeout sushi establishments in Japan. The eatery was created as a way to provide the best of both worlds to sushi lovers — quality cuisine served in a casual atmosphere.

As soon as Kozo Sushi debuted in the Islands, the eatery received a warm welcome. Now, the sushi establishment has a number of locations, including in Pearl City, Moiliili, Kahala Mall, Pearlridge Center and on Keeaumoku Street.

The chefs at Kozo Sushi Hawaii combine Japanese ingredients and influences with Western practices. Patrons will find this Hawaii-Japanese fusion in Super Spam Musubi ($2.80), which features teriyaki Spam, bacon and egg over rice seasoned with furikake.

Another fusion-filled creation is Dragon Don ($7.25), a bowl that includes spicy ahi, three pieces of tempura, masago and green onions on a bed of rice. The combination of ingredients provides a delectable sweet-sour dichotomy that has made it one of Kozo’s most popular items.

For those who like it hot, Kozo Sushi recommends Spicy Ahi Don ($6.30), which features a heaping portion of spicy ahi with rice. Crave more heat? Try Super Spicy Ahi Don ($7.50), a brand-new item that features ahi cubes over rice. It’s topped with a tasty, hot concoction: a special spicy sauce with green onions and habanero masago.

Just as Kozo Sushi provides the perfect solution for sushi lovers on the go, its chefs, too, are always on the go when it comes to creating new items. They constantly are hard at work in the kitchen concocting new items.

So, you’ll want to pay a visit to Kozo Sushi for the first taste of what the chefs have been cooking up!
