As Eggs ‘n Things celebrates a monumental 40th anniversary of providing pancakes, omelets, crepes and other desirable dishes to both local residents and visitors alike, the eatery presents a week’s worth of specially-priced throwback menu items that are sure to invoke recollections of memorable dining experiences at the iconic restaurant.

Eggs ‘n Things is serving up can’t-miss deals today (July 13) through Saturday, July 19 with featured menu items from the 1974 menu at their original prices. Throughout the week, starting at 4 p.m. daily, diners can take a trip down memory lane and reminisce via the throwback dishes that are sure to satisfy customers and their wallets.

“Like many other promotions we do, nostalgia is a big factor,” says Damian Zukeran, public relations and customer service manager. “We have so many fans from the ‘old days,’ people who were going to Eggs ‘n Things when it was a tiny location on Ena Road.

“They’ve followed us and recall the good times and memories. This is a nice opportunity to bring back items that haven’t been on the menu for a while.”

Canadian Bacon and Eggs ($2.50) starts off the week as the first throwback item featured today, and includes a choice of rice, potatoes or pancakes. Monday, the sweet deal applies to Strawberry Sundae Pancakes ($3.50), which includes four large, fluffy pancakes, sweet strawberries, powdered sugar and a heaping helping of whipped cream — a true mountain of flavor.

Hamburger Patty and Eggs with Gravy ($2.50) and Farmer’s Omelet ($3.95) serve as the special items available Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Both dishes include a choice of rice, potatoes or pancakes. The hearty omelet is sure to be a hit, and is chock-full of flavorful ham, green peppers, cheese and potatoes.

Thursday’s Eggs ‘n Things special offering is Raisin Cake Pancakes ($1.75), which consists of four pancakes, white chocolate chips and raisins. Those with big appetites can look forward to Friday when the flavorful Salami and Cheese Omelet is available for just $3.45, and includes a choice of rice, potatoes or pancakes.

To wrap up the anniversary celebration, come Saturday, diners can delve into Candied Pecan Pancakes ($1.75), spotlighting four pancakes and tasty diced pecans. As a reminder for diners, these specially-priced items will be available until closing as dine-in meals only, but if a particular item sells out, a comparable selection will be offered in its place.

Customers must ask for the specials by name and may order one item, per person (the specials are not combinable with any other promotions, discounts or coupons).

“We’re offering some great dishes over the seven days, and perhaps, one or two of them may make their way back onto the permanent menu soon,” Zukeran hints. “We’re rolling back the clock with these specials, and we wish we could do this every day! We’ve been known in the past for having outstanding breakfast food, but we also offer excellent lunch and dinner items; this is a great opportunity to re-introduce customers to Eggs ‘n Things.”

The specials are available at the Ala Moana location, as well as the restaurant’s two Waikiki locales (Saratoga Road and Kalakaua Avenue). For more information on the special menu items, as well as other exciting specials and events log on to EggsNThings.com.

“We have fans from all around the world, but we’re really doing this for the local people. Ala Moana is the biggest of our three locations; we have an expanded menu and it is best suited for our local clientele,” Zukeran explains.
