A Graduation Feast That Passes With Flying Colors

Although cap-and-gown season still may be more than two months away, like all momentous events, graduation parties have been the topic of conversations all year long. Often the drawing of big crowds and even bigger appetites, graduation parties long have relied on the services of A Catered Experience to take care of all its food-related needs.

“As joyous of an occasion graduation parties are, they can be a ton of work to plan and execute,” says general manager Ron Hattori. “With our level of expertise, we are capable and eager to take away the stress of it all, so that the host and attendees can enjoy the party worry-free.”

For more than 35 years, the company has serviced the island with full-service catering for everything from weddings to reunions and corporate events. As the exclusive caterer for Hawaii Okinawa Center, A Catered Experience is in constant demand for its dedication to customer service and providing flavorful, well-rounded buffet menus.

“Right now, what is really taking off is our off-premise catering service,” says Hattori. “We will deliver the food to any venue or residence and help with all aspects of the process, including putting together tables, assisting with cooking equipment and stowing away back-up food.”

Customers may choose from a variety of tasty menu packages. Popular choices include the Light Menu ($8.95 per person plus tax, 25-person minimum), which features an array of local favorites such as Sliced Teriyaki Steak, Chicken Katsu with katsu sauce, Breaded Fish with tartar sauce, steamed white rice and potato macaroni salad.

Fans of Hawaiian cuisine will love the Hawaiian Menu ($11.50 per person plus tax, 25-person minimum), a true island feast with mouthwatering dishes, such as Kalua Pig, Lau Lau, Chicken Long Rice, Lomi Salmon, Macaroni Salad, Haupia Squares and steamed white rice.

For a high-end style of dining, the Prime Rib Menu ($21.95 per person plus tax, 10-person minimum) is sure to delight the taste buds with Whole Roasted Prime Rib with au jus and horseradish; Boneless Barbecue Teriyaki Chicken; Sauteed Mahi with wasabi caper sauce; Assorted Sushi including Maki, Teppo Maki, Inari; steamed white rice; assorted fresh fruits and potato salad. Menus may additionally be customized to fit party needs.
