A CLOSER LOOK AT THIS WEEK’S HOUSE SPECIAL: FRESH LOBSTER WITH BUTTER AND GARLIC ($11.99)

What a catch! Currently, the dish is available for $11.99. The regular price for a one-and-a-quarter pound lobster is $18.99.

The live crustacean is kept in a saltwater tank and presented to patrons before it’s wok-fried and topped with savory butter, minced garlic and ginger.

When it comes to Northern Chinese cuisine, Canton Seafood Restaurant caters to all appetites. Here at this Keeaumoku Street restaurant, diners can reel in a frenzy of seafood favorites, including shrimp, lobster, oysters, clams, crab and fish. Canton Seafood’s loyal following of food enthusiasts rave about the restaurant’s fresh lobster, which can be prepared in a variety of styles. Canton Seafood Restaurant is the perfect place for lunch, dinner and late-night dining.

Canton Seafood receives shipments of Maine lobster daily from a local wholesaler in the Islands. Therefore, the meat is always fresh — its tenderness and smooth texture are proof of that.

Lobster with butter and garlic is a popular choice among kamaaina. However, other seasonings include pepper and salt; ginger and green onion; and black bean sauce. Diners also can choose to have their lobster steamed.

Don’t worry about making a mess. The mouthwatering lobster is cut into pieces, making it convenient for family-style dining.
