Sit atop the Ala Moana Hotel (the 36th floor, to be exact) and enjoy a stunning view of Waikiki all the way to Diamond Head, while dining on house-made desserts at The Signature Prime Steak & Seafood.
According to manager Jessica Melton, The Signature tries to adorn every dessert with a little bit of fresh fruit.
The Chocolate Buttermilk Cake ($8) is the establishment’s celebratory dessert, and it isn’t hard to see why. Moist layers of chocolate cake are intertwined with chocolate goodness, and the fresh berries on the top add that fruity punch you’ve been searching for.
“This is our celebration dessert for birthdays or anniversaries,” explains Melton.
This three-layer delight features chocolate ganache as well as chocolate sauce.
While most people fancy sweeter desserts, The Signature’s Key Lime Pie ($8) is the perfect blend of sweet and tart flavors. The creamy, handcrafted key lime custard is smooth and light, and the graham cracker crust offers a texture that adds depth and texture to the already sweet custard.
Lilikoi Creme Brulee ($10) also is on the list at the restaurant. The Hawaiian lilikoi-infused creme brulee is both sweet and sharp, which makes for a great after-dinner luxury.
“This is one of our most popular desserts,” Melton says. “There’s a hint of lilikoi flavor, and it’s caramelized to order.
“It’s a whole different structure,” Melton explains. “That’s what makes it so unique.”
While most lilikoi creme brulees feature a strong passion fruit flavor throughout the dish, the chefs at The Signature know how to make theirs’ just right.
Whatever your sweet craving is at the end of a meal, The Signature Prime Steak & Seafood has something to indulge in.
Complete with an up-scale and intimate dining atmosphere, each table or booth (275 seats total) at the restaurant offers the perfect setting to enjoy a mouthwatering and unforgettable experience with someone special in your life.
