A Stress-free Thanksgiving Feast Awaits You

With less than three weeks to go before Thanksgiving will bring together family and friends for a variety of festive celebrations, visions of moist turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy shift into the spotlight.

While the food favorites, football and merriment delivered at Thanksgiving provide a wealth of positive memories, the holiday also tends to evoke moments of anxiety as celebration hosts plan for the time and stress usually involved with preparing and coordinating such a grand spread.

A Catered Experience is here to help by again providing an Oven Roasted Turkey Package ($97.95) that takes the stress and mess out of preparing a hearty Thanksgiving feast. The package includes an 8to 10-pound (cooked weight) tender, moist, whole roast turkey fully cooked and served hot and ready to eat; 4 pounds of Poultry Gravy; 4 pounds of Real Mashed Potatoes; 3 pounds of Stuffing; 1 pound of Cranberry/Pineapple Relish; a dozen dinner rolls; and a Napoleon’s Bakery Pumpkin Pie. To aid in the preparation process, helpful instructions are provided for re-heating the relevant accompaniments (gravy, mashed potatoes and stuffing).

Diners may also add additional fixings to the Oven Roasted Turkey Package with the following a la carte items: Maki Sushi Roll ($4, uncut); dinner rolls ($4.50 per dozen); Real Mashed Potatoes ($6.50 for 2 pounds); Napoleon’s Bakery Pumpkin Pie ($7.75); Napoleon’s Bakery Custard Pie ($7.75); Napoleon’s Bakery Apple Pie ($7.75); Poultry Gravy ($5 for 2 pounds); Stuffing ($7.50 for 3 pounds); Cranberry/Pineapple Relish ($3.50 for 1/2 pound); and Potato/ Macaroni Salad ($7 for 2 pounds). Additionally, Chicken Nishime ($12 for 2 pounds), a Japanese stew that includes chicken, konnyaku, carrots, taro balls, lotus root, gobo, bamboo shoots and shiitake mushrooms simmered in an Osaka-style broth, is available as an add-on.

The Oven Roasted Turkey Packages are available for pick-up on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Hawaii Okinawa Center parking lot located at 94-587 Ukee St. in Waipio.
