Located in the West side of the Island in Kapolei, Ho Ho Chinese Cuisine boasts more than 30 items on both its lunch and dinner buffet menus, at more than reasonable prices. Lunch is only $9.95, while dinner is $16.95 Monday-Thursday, and $18.95 Friday-Sunday.

Before you jump in, keep in mind two items off the lunch menu you’ll want to make room for: Crispy Chicken Wings and, Salt and Pepper Shrimp.

“Those are two of the best things for lunch,” shares general manager James Ching.

Both dishes are deep-fried, ensuring a “crunch” when you bite in. Five-spice seasoning is used to provide rich flavors in the chicken. And don’t be deceived by its name — the shrimp isn’t seasoned with your ordinary salt and pepper. Instead, the restaurant uses hot chili pepper and sea salt.

Another item off the menu that will leave you feeling refreshed is Cold Ginger Onion Chicken. After the chicken is steamed, it is cooled down and served with a ginger-onion sauce.

Of course, it being a buffet, those aren’t the only items to choose from. Also included is an oriental salad bar, a pupu section (with items such as egg rolls and won ton), a starch section that includes fried rice and noodles, and desserts to end your feast.

In the afternoon between lunch (served from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) and dinner (served from 5 to 9 p.m.), the buffet closes. However, if you’re still looking to get a fix of the restaurant’s Cantonese-style cooking, items can still be chosen from the a la carte menu.
