Renowned for its selection of bentos, combination plates and catering platters, Mitsu-Ken is your one-stop shop when yearning for a taste of Hawaii.
Open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mitsu-Ken serves it all, and a kanak attack will most likely accompany any meal as well (just FYI).

With breakfast served until 10:30 a.m., sleep in a bit more then, head to the eatery and be ready to devour Mitsu-Ken’s Breakfast Deluxe ($5.75). This breakfast of champions wows diners with two scoops of fried rice, two eggs, two strips of bacon and three pieces of Portuguese sausage. Or go for broke and opt for the Breakfast Deluxe Combo. Priced at $7.75, add on three pieces of Mitsu-Ken’s famous Garlic Chicken to the aforementioned meal.
Still hungry? Well, stay for lunch and have the Mini Bento ($4.50), which presents you with furikake rice, garlic chicken, hot dog and egg omelet. It’s simply irresistible.
Mitsu-Ken fanatics take note: The restaurant is expected to move to a new and larger space next month at 2300 N. King St. in a new structure located across from New City Nissan.
