Kenny’s Chinese Chicken Salad ($11.45)

Let me just tell you, Kenny’s Restaurant has a salad option that goes way beyond lettuce and few veggie sprinklings. Kenny’s Chinese Chicken Salad ($11.45) is chock-full of tasty ingredients. As a top-seller of the 46 year-old Honolulu dining establishment, Kenny’s Chinese Chicken Salad mixes lettuce, Chinese parsley, peanuts, won ton chips, shoyu chicken and char siu into a generous salad portioning. The secret to the salad’s success lies in its sugar-free sesame seed dressing, whose ingredients will be left undis-closed under the discretion of Kenny’s owner John Fujieki.

“We’ve reformulated things here recently, we have a new chef. There are going to be some more changes to come,” says Fujieki, who also is considering condensing Kenny’s menu to better serve the loyal customer.

“We are a local restaurant that takes care of its (customers) needs with a good taste.”

And, just as Kenny’s did for Thanksgiving by offering turkeys and Thanksgiving meal packages, the restaurant will be doing the same for Christmas with select ham and prime rib choices.
