Everybody knows Sam Choy — the renowned chef and his bambucha portions of local-style food at Sam Choy’s Breakfast, Lunch and Crab are legendary here in the Islands.

Grilled Vegetable Platter ($19.95) features oven-roasted portobello mushroom and tofu along with grilled asparagus, peppers and onions topped with a truffleyaki sauce made with soy sauce and truffle oil, which adds sophistication as well as flavor to the dish. So you get your protein from the tofu and meaty texture from the portobello while savoring those delicious, nutritious grilled vegetables.

Sam Choy’s BLC also offers a variety of “Ono Kine Pupus” for starters, and it’s not all poke and shrimp. Vegetarians can enjoy Seasoned Edamame with spicy soy sauce ($6.95) or Golden Tempura Battered Mushrooms with sweet chili oil ($9.95). So, go ahead, break out of your
