Nine times out of 10 a meal that involves pizza is going to be good, but it doesn’t always have to be a greasy, oily mess. Founded in Laguna Beach, Calif., Zpizza was created and crafted with not only taste, but health in mind.

“We serve healthier pizza for all those who are health conscious,” says Zpizza Hawaii owner Cesar Llarenas.

From now through Thursday, Sept. 27, Zpizza Hawaii is offering a pie-sized deal. If you order either Pear and Gorgonzola pizza or Moroccan pizza you can receive a second Pear and Gorgonzola or Moroccan pizza pie for $5 off.

With crusts and tomato sauces made from all organic ingredients, these two choices are a refreshing change from the pizza norm.

Pear and Gorgonzola is topped with fresh mozzarella, gorgonzola, sliced pears and fresh thyme. Moroccan pizza is a unique pie with basil pesto, mozzarella, roasted eggplant, feta cheese, caramelized onions and pine nuts. Each are priced at $12.95.

For those who love pizza, but stay away from gluten, Zpizza has got you covered, offering a 10-inch small ($15.95) or a 14-inch large ($26.95) gluten-free pizza. Zpizza also has a zesty Berkeley Vegan pie made with vegan cheese, veggie burger crumbles, zucchini, tomatoes, mushrooms, red onions and bell peppers.

And throughout the month of October, the establishment will collect $1 donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For each dollar you donate, you will receive a $1 coupon off your next pizza or slice at Zpizza.
