Now that the NFL season has officially kicked off, football fans can catch their must-see Monday Night Football games at M Nightclub at Waterfront Plaza. Opening earlier than usual at 2 p.m., there will be happy hour specials (from game time to 8 p.m.) on drinks and select menu items, and, of course, the game at 2:30 plus replay at 6:30 p.m.
Guests also will be given an entry card to be punched at every visit to M for Monday Night Football, and be entered in the Watch and Play Steinlager Pure Giveaway for a Steinlager leather recliner and TV.
Among the happy hour food specials is Seared Togarashi Ahi Tuna Tacos ($10, $5 during happy hour) consisting of seared ahi in won ton shells with wasabi aioli, sweet soy kalbi drizzle and black sesame seed rice. Drink specials include $3 premium-well cocktails, $5 signature cocktails, $3 Steinlager Pure, and $5 for house wines and Ciroc martinis.
While Monday Night Football is one reason to go to M, the newly renovated restaurant, nightclub and venue has much more to offer: it’s a great pau hana hangout, place for dinner or pupus, venue for special events, and Honolulu nightlife hot spot.
Some popular items on the menu are Slider Trio ($12), which features a broiled Kauai beef burger, barbecue pork slider and an ahi burger with wasabi slaw; Boursin Cheese Stuffed Roasted Chicken ($16) made with chicken breast that is filled with Boursin cheese, garlic and herbs before searing, then roasted to golden perfection and served with garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables; and Cheese & Charcuteries (market price), which is a selection of seasonal cheeses served with toast points, toasted almonds and marmalade and M’s daily selections of charcuteries.
“Our menu, it’s a fusion (cuisine), and we use a lot of fresh, local ingredients,” says general manager Dan Punch. “M, it’s modern, exciting and fun.”
From Tuesday through Friday, happy hour runs from 4:30 to 8 p.m., and on Tuesdays there is live acoustic music from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
From 8 p.m. on, guests must be age 21 and above, and there is a fashionable club attire dress code. On Friday and Saturday, there also is a $10 cover charge after 10 p.m.
Whether for dinner, hanging out or a night out with friends, M was made to be your multipurpose destination.
