At Golden Duck Chinese Restaurant, a plethora of Cantonese cuisine meets excellent customer service — a combination that has proven to be golden at both its locations on King Street and Waialae Avenue. Loyal patrons flock to the restaurant again and again for a sampling of the expansive a la carte menu, full of family-style favorites.

According to owner Darlene Fong, Beef Tendon & Brisket Casserole ($10.95) is a classic. This stew-like dish features beef tendon and brisket brought to tasty fruition with mushrooms, cabbage, bean curd, garlic, ginger, oyster sauce, five-spice seasoning and fresh parsley. Fong says you can enjoy the dish on its own, or eat it with rice or noodles.

The owner also suggests trying Oyster Sauce Chicken with Cake Noodle — one of the establishment’s most popular items. This scrumptious hit is specially priced at $5.99, and it’s prepared with chicken, oyster sauce and choy sum. “You pan-fry the cake noodle to make it crispy,” says Fong. “Cake noodle can have many toppings, but this one is with a roasted chicken with crispy skin. We also do minute chicken, seafood or any topping you would like.”

Catering to all your dining needs, Golden Duck Chinese Restaurant offers sharable sensations that are perfect for the whole family.
